In-Class Course

This course is taken entirely onsite and lasts for nearly 4 weeks. This course is the best option, as you’ll get to share thoughts and ideas with others over the entire duration of study. You’ll also have more interaction with your trainers and more areas of study are covered in this format.

 

In addition to all classroom learning, you’ll watch experienced teachers teach, receive guided lesson planning and conduct at least 6 practice teaching sessions.

 

This course results in a TESOL certificate issued by TEFL International and accredited by Fort Hays State University.

TEFL COURSE SCHEDULE

Both course formats are offered 10 times a year. While the In-class course runs up through Friday of the 4th week of the course, the Combined course finishes on the Thursday evening of the 2nd week of the course.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must be fluent in all aspects of English.*
  • Must have basic computer skills for creating classroom materials.
  • Must be good with working under tight schedules and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have an open mind as it relates to living within new and different cultures.

 

*If English isn’t your first language, you must be fluent in reading, writing, listening and speaking in order to pass our course. If you are unsure about your level of English or have any doubts about your ability to pass the course, we would like to conduct a 10-20 minute interview with you over Skype.
